Mission:

Our goal is to focus on providing news, results, photographs and other information from as many dirt track ovals from within an 8-hour driving range of Shreveport, Louisiana as is attainable or made available to us.

Shreveport is the unofficial capitol of the ArkLaTex region – Hook’s home base. The coverage area includes all of the tracks in Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi as well as most of Texas, eastern Oklahoma, the southern edge of Missouri and even one track in Tennessee. This area includes the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, Houston, Tulsa and Memphis metropolitan areas.

Hook’s Dirt Track Review seeks to provide coverage of every local class of cars that appear at area dirt tracks as space permits. DTR will also provide coverage of regional series that race in the South Central United States from their first race of the year until season’s end.

Hook’s DTR will track the progress of “homeboys” (and girls) as they venture into other venues outside the region. We will provide any racing news from NASCAR to Indy that we feel would be of interest to and have a connection with local dirt track fans. Feel free to contact Hook’s Dirt Track Review if you know of an area dirt tracker or ex-dirt tracker that is doing well in other racing arenas of which we may not be aware.
